Republic Cup - Squash Tournament
Physical Education and Sports Center organized the annual Republic Cup Squash Tournament December 17 and 18.There were a total of 30 participants (men and women) who challenged each other at three different levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
“Most of the beginner participants were from our new ‘Sports As A Way Of Life,’ program and it was nice to see the newcomers show interest in this exciting game of squash.” said Dr. Hayri Özkan, Sports Center director and squash instructor.
The tournament was held at the Dormitories Sports Hall and the results shown bellow;
a- Beginner :
1st place - Mustafa Karaman
2nd place - Necip Kırman
b- Intermediate :
1st place - Zeynep Kocakavak
2nd place - Dilek Bayındır
c- Advanced :
First place seating was shared by two Bilkent alumni: Hüseyin Gümüş and Sinan Salih.
