CTIS Forms the first EMC Academic Alliance in Turkey
After the successful outcome of implementing the Cisco Networking Academy Program within the last four academic years, the Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems (CTIS) formed a new academic alliance with the EMC Corporation, a leading establishment in systems, software, services, and solutions for building and managing secure and flexible information infrastructures. EMC employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide, more than 40 percent of whom work outside the U.S., and is represented by approximately 400 sales offices and scores of partners in more than 60 countries around the world.
The major goal of this partnership is to sustain a collaboration between CTIS and EMC and consequently address the skills gap resulting from the growing volume and complexity of infrastructural data by means of CTIS graduates' know-how. The parties are working on a new elective course on Information Storage and Management (ISM) which is planned to be offered for senior level students in one or two semesters.
