Bilkent Students Win Two Cups in Campus Cup Races

The fourth Campus Cup sailing event has been held this year as the fifth round of the "Winter Trophy," organized by the Marmaris International Yacht Club (MIYC). A total of 18 teams from 15 universities competed in the races.
Çağdaş Özdoğan (HART/I), Arman Kurtoğlu (CTP/II), Deniz Salucu (CS/Prep), Pelin İlkkurşun (COMD/IV), Naz Korkmaz (IE/II), Mert Wang (BIM/III), Kağan Görgülü (BIM/III) and Murat Dinçer (BIM/IV) competed in the races on behalf of Bilkent, which was the only Ankara university represented at the event.
Bahçeşehir, Beykent, Boğaziçi, Ege, İTÜ, İstanbul, İzmir Ekonomi, İzmir İleri Teknoloji, Kadir Has, Koç, Muğla, Piri Reis, Sabancı and Moscow State universities were the other schools competing in the Campus Cup races.
The Bilkent team members won first place in their own group, IRC-1, and came in second in the general classification, thus completing the event with two cups.
