Sinefest '12 Awards Announced at Gala Night
The national film festival Sinefest '12 concluded on Sunday with a gala night at the Bilkent Concert Hall. Held this year between April 27 and May 6, Sinefest is a showcase for Turkish cinema. During the festival, Turkish films from 2011 were screened and voted on by a jury. Sinefest also included discussions with members of the film industry and exhibitions of film technologies.
The gala night hosted cinema professionalsincluding Meltem Cumbul, Rıza Kocaoğlu, Gökçe Bahadır, Durukan Çelikkaya and Salih Kalyon.
The festival's awards were announced at the gala:
Best Film: Kaybedenler Kulübü
Best Director: Nuri Bilge Ceylan
Best Script: Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da
Best Actor: Erdal Beşikçioğlu
Best Actress: Meltem Cumbul
Best Supporting Actor: Rıza Kocaoğlu
Best Supporting Actress: Gökçe Bahadır
Best Child Actor: Durukan Çelikkaya
Best Film Music: Kaybedenler Kulübü-Can Gox
Lifetime Achievement Award: Salih Kalyon
