A New Academic Year, and New Events for International Faculty
The International Center has started off the new academic year with several programs and social events for Bilkent's international faculty members. On September 20, the center organized this year's orientation day for newly arrived international faculty; the orientation program included a campus tour, lunch and a visit to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, the Citadel and the old city. At the end of orientation week, all international faculty and their family members got together at the "Welcome Picnic" held on the lawn area across from the FEASS Building on Sunday, September 25.
Another get-together activity will be a two-day trip to Cappadocia taking place on October 15-16. All these events create opportunities for current and new international faculty members to meet each other and have an enjoyable time together, says Berna Örge, the International Center Coordinator.
