Humor Society Announces Writing Contest
The Humor Society is organizing a new activity this semester: a writing contest.
Although the topic to write about is "being a freshman at Bilkent," this of course doesn't mean that the contest is open only to freshman. All students are welcome to participate.
You can write something in any form you like: a story, an anecdote, a reminiscence, etc. The jurors encourage you to feel free to scribble whatever you want.
The writings will be evaluated on the basis of how much they make the jurors laugh. The only standard is: being funny, entertaining, humorous.
The top three writers will get the following prizes:
- 1st: a seven-DVD collection of cult comedy movies
- 2nd: a three-DVD collection of cult comedy movies
- 3rd: a book with a collection of works by famous humor writers
Also, the award-winning pieces will be published in posters on campus and shared on the Humor Society's Facebook page.
The contest has started already, and submissions will be accepted until December 25. The results will be announced December 30.
