TRIN Students Build Web Pages for Bilkent University

Since 2005, students in Erin Maloney's computer course (Translation and Interpretation/TRIN 371) have been designing and building web pages for various Bilkent entities.

In the course, students learn how to use Notepad++ to write HTML code and CSS code and to edit pre-written java script as well as how to use GIMP for graphics and photo editing.

During the fall semester of 2012, the 16 students in the course built web pages for the following Bilkent sites:

- Center for Turkish Literature and Department of Turkish Literature (Sıtkı Bayram, Nihan Güler, Ezgi Selin Memişoğlu and Eren Topuz)

- Department of Archaeology (Tuğçe Ayçe Çeken, Kardelen Kala and Esra Kayı)

- Department of Mathematics (Fatma Erdoğan, Merve Gülen, Fatih Köseoğlu and Kadir Polat)

- Faculty of Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering and Science (Okan Çakır, Ece Erçelebi, Sanem Erkoç, İlayda İlik and Başak Zerman)

On February 8, students and advisers celebrated the success of the semester with a "Wassail Party" at the home of Ms. Maloney (instructor in the Department of Banking and Finance) and her husband Jacques Morin (instructor in the Department of Archaeology).
