Business Information Management Students Participate in Positive Social Change Project

In the context of the 63 426 Small Group and Team Communication course, Business Information Management (BIM) students get out of the classroom to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical areas where they can contribute to positive social change in the community. This semester, just as in the previous five semesters, the students worked with the Foundation to Help and Educate Mentally Handicapped Persons (ZİÇEV - Zihinsel Yetersiz Çocukları Koruma ve Yetiştirme Vakfı). Throughout the semester, groups of students visit ZİÇEV once a week to spend quality time with the students there, conducting activities and initiating projects to raise money for the foundation.

The aim of this course is to create positive change, both for society and for the BIM students. They are highly motivated to be a part of the project, and to have the chance to spend time with and contribute to the well-being of the students at ZİÇEV. It is also hoped that through participation in this project, they will be encouraged to start their own projects for members of society whose needs are neglected. The next activity of the course project will be a New Year's party organized by BIM students at ZİÇEV.
