Prof. Doğramacı to Address Stockholm Group
Today (Tuesday, March 12), Prof. İhsan Doğramacı will be addressing an audience that includes prime ministers, ministers, Nobel laureates (Amartya Sen, Joseph Stiglitz and Nelson Mandela), and well-known people such as Bill Gates and Ted Turner.
Professor Doğramacı will be the speaker at a dinner hosted by Queen of Sweden. Topics he will be discussing will include issues related to child care and youth. The program is organized by two United Nations agencies: UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

Create Your Own Organic Paradise!
Health-conscious Bilkenters are now being offered the opportunity to produce their own organically grown vegetables and flowers here on campus. Bilkent University is organizing a new program open to all members of the university including faculty, staff, and students. For all of them 20 square meter plots will now be available for leasing (50$ U.S. payable in TL. based on the current exchange rate of the Central Bank of Turkey at the time of payment). Leases will run from March 20 through October 31. The land designated for this project is in the valley between Main Campus and the Music Faculty, including the area right above the Bilkent Greenhouses.
