Assistant Secretary General Oğuz Özbilgin to Retire
Oğuz Özbilgin will retire from his position after more than 10 years of dedicated service to Bilkent University as the assistant secretary general.
Previously, Özbilgin worked as the vice general secretary of the Presidential Office of the Turkish Republic. He has been working with the Office of the Vice Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs since 2000.
Prof. Kürşat Aydoğan, vice rector for administrative and financial affairs, acknowledged his thanks to Özbilgin: "It is my pleasure to express my gratitude to Mr. Özbilgin for his long and dedicated service to Bilkent University. He has always been committed to excellence and principled management. We wish him a joyful and healthy retirement."
Özbilgin says, "I am leaving Bilkent family, where I have been working with honor and pleasure, for personal reasons. My heart will be always with Bilkent. My wish is to see the dynamic Bilkent University appear in the list of the top ten universities in the world. I send my best wishes to the whole Bilkent community."
Özbilgin's retirement will be effective in January 10, 2011.
