Okuducu Discusses Constitution and Politics with Bilkent Students

On Wednesday, December 8, Güldal Okuducu, a member of Parliament for the Republican People's Party, came to Bilkent University at the invitation of Bilkent Hukuk Kulübü to deliver a talk entitled “The Necessity of the New Constitution and Turkish Politics." Güldal Okuducu mainly discussed the general problems in the Republic of Turkey, in the Turkish constitution, and in Turkish politics.
Okuducu attached significant importance to democracy in her talk, saying, "Each country has its own tragic events and trauma in its history. However, the most important thing is overcoming these problems by benefitting from the power of democracy."
Güldal Okuducu also expressed the characteristics of her ideal world by emphasizing three words: "independent, egalitarian, just." She stated that although she has some concerns about the possibility of living in such a world one day, she is confident about the new generation and their education."We could not give you a beautiful world that you would live in without any problems. However, I am sure that you will give this beautiful world to your children."
