Bilkent CALENDAR
The Bilkent Symphony Orchestra will stage only one performance this week. On Saturday, October 16 at 8 p.m., the BSO will perform its Opera Concert. Conductor Tulio Gagliardo will lead the BSO, and Ankara Opera Soprano Michie Nakamuru will solo. The program will feature arias from operas composed by Camille Saint-Saëns, Guiseppe Verdi, Pietro Mascagni, Vincenzo Bellini, Alfredo Catalani, and Giacomo Puccini.
The Ankara Opera will be performing Puccini's Tosca on Wednesday, October 13 and Friday, October 23, both at 8 p.m. Ankara Opera will perform Verdi's Macbeth on October 27 at 8 p.m., and Sabahattin Kalender's 2010 Cem Sultan later this season. Wednesday, October 13 Original prints and new paintings on canvas, by Prof. Sema Ilgaz Temel, at the Library Art Gallery. The opening ceremony will be at 6 p.m. The exhibit runs through to Wednesday, November 3 between 10:30 a.m and 6 p.m. except Sundays.
