Graduate Workshop on Migration

The Bilkent Historical Society and the Department of History are presenting a graduate workshop on Migration, to be held April 26-27. Graduate students from a number of universities and institutions around the world will present their research on topics related to migration and obtain valuable feedback on their work.

The workshop is intended to increase participants' familiarity with the latest trends and changing paradigms in migration studies. The sessions are organized not on the basis of chronological or regional proximity, but instead according their conceptual framework. Themes include: Identity Politics and Network Strategies; Economic Practices and Labor; State, Settlement and Resettlement; Invisibility, Asylum Seekers, Deportation and Refugees; Diaspora and Culture; Transnational Practices and Flexible Citizenship.

The talks will take place at FEASS, in Room A-130 and C-Block Auditorium.
