Bilkent Freecycle: Share Your Stuff

Have you heard about Freecycle and wondered what it was all about? The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 5,079 groups with 9,208,442 members around the world. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns.

To Aynur Özlem (BF/IV), who has been a member of this network for a while, it seemed that Bilkent should be part of it too. Since Bilkent is like a huge family, she reasoned, with a lot of people living on campus, recycling would be fast and easy.

So, Aynur started a Freecycle group just for Bilkenters: Bilkent Freecycle. There, you can share things you don't want to use any more, and also search for what you need. Once you've joined, you can respond to postings, offer items to your group or post requests for items. It should be noted that everything offered through the site must be free, legal and appropriate. This is an open group and moderated by students.
