Learning About Case Studies at MT’s CaseCamp

Mühendislik Topluluğu (MT) held its sixth CaseCamp November 30-December 2. Forty students from several universities including Boğaziçi, İTÜ, Koç and METU as well as Bilkent, all of them eager to learn more about case studies, had been chosen to participate from among almost 600 applicants through kariyer.net. On Friday, students coming from outside Ankara were welcomed with "Pizza Night" and some games, which helped participants get better acquainted with each other and with the organization team, consisting of 40 members of MT.

On Saturday, ten teams of four participants each were formed. The teams were then instructed by a trainer from BnB Consulting in areas that would help them solve the case the following day.

On Sunday, the case, which concerned a manufacturing problem, was set out. Each group made a presentation and was then rated by the jury, consisting of Hakan Erden from BnB Consulting, Bilkent Holding Human Resources Manager Cem Ağın and Mehmet Erten, R&D engineer at TÜBİTAK.

CaseCamp has become almost a tradition for both Mühendislik Topluluğu and Bilkent, and has grown in popularity among students at many other universities. MT is also planning additional exciting events, such as Yönet 2013, Campus '13 and Case Challenge 2013, to take place in the near future.
