İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Primary School Now an IB World School
İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Primary School has recently been designated as an International Baccalaureate World School. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a nonprofit foundation that works with schools in 144 countries to offer four educational programs to students aged 3-19. The IB programs are globally recognized for their excellence and outstanding quality.
The İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent Primary School was accepted as a candidate school by the International Baccalaureate organization in 2008, meaning that it began implementing the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) on a trial basis. On November 14, 2012, an IB team made a verification visit to the school, and on December 25 the school received formal authorization to offer the IB PYP and was awarded International Baccalaureate World School status.
