Business Information Management Hand-in-Hand With Village Schools
The Business Information Management Department's student club OMIT (Organizational Management Information Technologies) has organized an aid campaign this semester, just as in previous semesters, with the purpose of assisting village schools in a number of provinces in Turkey.
Students initiated the campaign and collected educational materials, such as books, encyclopedias, notebooks, stationery items, toys for kindergarten children and other instruction-related materials. The students then categorized the donated materials on the basis of requests coming from 12 primary and secondary schools, and sent the donations to the schools, throughout Turkey. This semester, the aid was sent to the village schools in Şanlıurfa, Van, Ağrı, Bitlis, Kütahya, Gaziantep, Mardin, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Yozgat, Hakkari and Batman. The club members were happy, once again, to make their little sisters and brothers smile.
