İDF Private School Hosts Artvin Students for Children's Day

In honor of April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the teachers and students of İ.D.F. Private Bilkent Middle and Primary School hosted 22 students, four teachers and the principal of Kazım Karabekir Primary School, located in the Yusufeli district of Artvin.

The top three students of each class in the school had been selected to come to Ankara and stay at the University. This was the first time that these students had the opportunity to travel to Ankara.

During their four-day stay, the guests visited the old and the new Grand National Assembly, Anıtkabir (Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's mausoleum), Atatürk's house, the zoo, Gençlik Park (Youth Park), the Military Police Museum and the Doğramacı Mosque, along with the tomb of Bilkent's founder, Prof. İhsan Doğramacı. The visitors also attended classes at the İ.D.F. Private School and completed visual arts projects.
