Bilkent Grad Receives Ertegun Scholarship

Ezgi Ulusoy Aranyosi, a graduate of Bilkent (PHIL '09; EDEB/MA '12), is one of 16 students (and the only Turkish citizen) to receive the prestigious Ertegun Scholarship for postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. Ezgi is now a member of St. Antony's College and has received Ertegun funding for the entire period of her studies toward the completion of a DPhil degree in oriental studies.

This year's 16 Ertegun scholars are the first to benefit from the Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme in the Humanities. Mica Ertegün, the widow of Turkish-born Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegün, donated £26m to Oxford -- one of the most generous gifts for students in the long history of the university -- to found the program.
