The week of May 6-12, is officially Traffic Week throughout Turkey with activities focused on raising awareness on the issue. During the week, seminars and conferences will be organized by various institutions, and a number of different events will be held to draw attention to making the roads safer. The Bilkent University Traffic Committee has also organized various activities to take place next week. They are as follows:
1) Demonstration of rescue and first-aid for techniques in traffic accidents: An ambulance crew from the Bilkent Health Center, Bilkent Security and the Gendarme will participate in a demonstration where two victims of an accident are removed from a car and given first-aid treatment. Main Campus: May 6, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on the road leading from FEASS to the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts East Campus: May 7, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in front of the East Campus Health Center
2) Demonstration of radar detection of speeding vehicles: Learn how radar detection of vehicles is performed. Main Campus: May 6, 3:39 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Meteksan junction on the road leading up from the Main Campus entrance East Campus: May 7, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in front of the East Campus Health Center
All members of the Bilkent community are invited to join these activities.
Entries for the Design Competition organized by the Traffic Committee will be on exhibition during this week at the entrance to Mithat Çoruh Auditorium. During the exhibition, you will be able to cast your votes to select the ones you like most.

International Young Entrepreneurs Meeting to be Held

The International Young Entrepreneurs Meeting will take place between May 5-7. During the meeting there will be seminars, concerts, conferences, tournaments and corporate tours. The opening will be on May 5th at 11:30 a.m. at Bilkent Hotel.

Little Red Riding Hood

Ultra Pink Productions presents Billy Aronson’s Little Red Riding Hood.
Don't miss this year’s student drama production which will take place on Thursday the 2nd, Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of May in the C-Block Auditorium starting at 7 p.m.
Students from ELIT, Evrim Tuncel, Dilara Alpay, Aziz Yavuzalp, Mine Bahadır, Ebru Bozkurt, Saliha Özcan and Barbaros Baran, from Political Science, Barın Kayaoğlu from Management, Kerem Beygo, will all be performing in Aronson's short and entertaining version of the fairy tale. Backstage managers and music technicians are ELIT students, Cengizhan Coşkun and Uğur Zirek
Costume design is by Isabelle Zabou, who creates her own designer label in Brussels and Ankara, felt hat creations are by designer Mert Esirci. The play is directed by Dr. Sita Schutt assisted by Mehmet Ertürk from the department of Fine Arts. Entrance is free.
