Hello everyone! I hope you are doing fine in finding the answers of our puzzle. Let us remember how the challenge works. This picture below is from somewhere in our campus. If you can find out where exactly, you will get a chance to win one of our prizes. Last week we had a scene from the stairs around the little pool in front of Odeon. Every year thousands of students have their pictures taken with their friends on those stairs after they attend to the graduation ceremony in the Odeon.

In the early 1990s only 400-500 students used to graduate each year so the ceremony was held in the sports hall. When the number of seniors graduating increased as the years passed,  the ceremonies were moved to a large parking lot located between the green field and the engineering building. They pitched a huge tent so that  the crowd could fit in. In those years approximately 1500 students graduated every year. There were two rows of students, each taking their diplomas one after another. Approximately two students took their diplomas per minute in every row, and there were no digital cameras at the time. So a camera team consisted of 8-10 people worked together to take pictures, change films, and handle the repairing of machine failures. Since many students came from cities other than Ankara, the team also had to print hundreds of pictures in a single night so that the students could buy their photos the next day, before they returned back home. This many photographs would completely fill the walls of a studio, from bottom to top.

However, in the late 1990s even the tent was not big enough, so the ceremonies were transferred to a newer and more spectacular place, to the Odeon. Last year Bilkent conferred approximately 2500 degrees, again in a two-row manner. Luckily we now have digital cameras which are easier to handle and other technologies making all the printing much faster.
