Turkish Airlines CEO Speaks to Students

On February 23, the Bilkent Lojistik Kulübü hosted Temel Kotil, the chief executive officer of Turkish Airlines, to give a talk on recent developments at Turkish Airlines. In his speech, Temel Kotil mainly mentioned the position of Turkish Airlines in the world and the recent investments of Turkish Airlines in new technologies.

"Although the economic crisis in 2008 affected lots of the companies in the world, Turkish Airlines managed to improve its own economy. As a consequence, in 2009, Turkish Airlines ranked as the sixth most profitable airline in the world," he said. He also talked about the importance of the customers for Turkish Airlines: "What brings success to Turkish Airlines is the customer centric view."

At the end of the speech, Mr. Kotil emphasized to the students, "You will have more positive, more important, and more gainful jobs in the future. If you want to be successful in your life, always try to take risks. Risk can make you reach your goals."
