Quit Smoking: Health Center to Measure CO on Mondays in March
On Monday, February 28, clinicians at he Main Campus Health Center used a device to measure CO (carbon monoxide) levels in the lungs of smokers. This test will continue to be offered during March on every Monday. Interest was pretty high among students. A questionnaire was given while measurement took place. The events are organized by Main Campus Quit Smoking Clinic, which consists of Neurologist Dr. Kamuran Kuş, Specialist Nurse Yüksel Dur, and Specialist Ayşe Bulut Degtyarev.

Tourism and Hotel Management Wins Gastronomy Bronze Medal
The İstanbul Gastronomy Festival, organized under The World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), took place February 18 to 21 in İstanbul with approximately 1500 competitors from 21 countries. WACS, representing 8 million chefs worldwide from 82 countries, was founded as a non-profit association in 1928 in Paris. WACS is dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of global cuisines through education, training, and professional development of its international membership.

Bu Gençlikte İş Var Competition by TÜSİAD
TÜSİAD (Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) has started a new idea competition called Bu Gençlikte İş Var among Bilkent and METU students. On March 3, President of TÜSİAD Ümit Boyner presented this project to the Turkish media in a press conference. Coordinator of the project Metin Akman, representatives of student communities from Bilkent University Management and Economics Community (MEC) Semih Ceyhan and Selin Zeybek, the METU Management Club, and Young Entrepreneurs Community, represented by Erinç Ermin, informed the public about the details of the project.

The Secret Lives of Henry and Alice at Bilkent
The Secret Lives of Henry and Alice, a play written by David Tristram, was adapted for the Turkish stage by students from the Department of Theater. Second year student, Musa Arslanali directed the play, which opened in the first week of January at Mavi Sahne and is still running. This is Arslanali's directorial debut. Also fourth year student from the Department of Graphic Design, Negrican Birlik, designed the poster advertising the play.
