First Intercollegiate Hip-Hop Dance Competition Held
The First Annual Intercollegiate Hip-Hop Dance Competition was held on April 2 at Bilkent's Main Sports Hall. Organized by Bilkent University Modern Dance Community and the Student Council, the competition gave students a chance to exhibit their dancing talent.
The program started with Berkem Canbeyli's stirring DJ performance and continued with solo performances created by famous Turkish dancers and choreographers, especially Galip Emre, Bahadır Efe, Aydan Uysal, Sanem Demirkaya and İzmir Tenim.
Before the competitors' shows, the special guest Ege Çubukçu gave a mini concert that included old favorites and songs from his new album.
Nine universities competed in the event: Beykent, Bilkent, Ege, Gazi, Girne American, Hacettepe , Middle East Technical, Sabancı, and Yeditepe.
The jurors scored Beykent University as the winner. Ege University and Sabancı University came in second and third, respectively.
