Taner Yigit Receives Bergson Prize
Taner Yigit, a member of the Department of Economics since 2002, has been selected as the winner of the Bergson Prize for the best paper published in the journal Comparative Economic Studies during 2009 and 2010. Asst. Prof. Yigit received the prize for his paper entitled "Corruption and Economic Development in Energy-Rich Economies" (coauthored with Yelena Kaluyzhnova and Ali Kutan). The award was announced and presented at the annual meeting of the Association for Comparative Economic Studies (ACES) in Chicago in January.
ACES awards the Bergson Prize, in memory of Professor Abram Bergson, for the best paper published during the past two years in Comparative Economic Studies.
