ÖBI Spring Symposium Attracts Over 300 Educators
The İhsan Doğramacı Foundation Özel Bilkent Primary School held its sixth annual Spring Symposium on Effective Teaching Practices on March 24, 2012, hosting more than 300 educators from 12 cities in Turkey and also from Kosovo. The participants attended three plenary sessions as well as workshops given by Bilkent teachers. President of the Constitutional Court Yekta Güngör Özden, former Minister of State Masum Türker and Prof. Dr. Ferhunde Öktem were the keynote speakers. Their remarks concerned the topics of effective teaching practices and the importance of school. In addition to the academic sessions, participants had the opportunity to attend piano and folk dance performances by Bilkent primary students.
