BIM Seminar Offers Insights Into the Public Relations Field
Last week, the Department of Business Information Management hosted Özlem Özbaykal, public relations director of the Ankara Swissotel, as part of the Seminars in Business Information Management course. The course, which is intended to bring the business sector and the university into closer contact, invites a different guest speaker each week to offer the students practical insights into various aspects of the business world.
In her presentation, Ms. Özbaykal shared her expertise and provided information regarding the responsibilities of a public relations department. Senior students from the Departments of Business Information Management and Computer Technology Information Systems had the chance to learn about changing trends in the hiring process, along with job evaluations and training and career opportunities.
At the end of the seminar a question and answer session took place, during which students' questions focused mostly on how to write a successful CV, how to prepare for a job interview and how to conduct oneself during the interview.
