Bilkent Student Elected as Vice President for ESN Turkey

The Exchange Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is n European Union accredited program that aims to promote exchange among students worldwide. According to its website, ESN works in the interest of international students to improve their social and practical integration; represents the needs and rights of international students on the local, national and international levels; provides relevant information about mobility programs; motivates students to study abroad; works with the reintegration of homecoming students; contributes to the improvement and accessibility of student mobility; and promotes the values of volunteering and active citizenship.

ESN now has 23 sections in Turkey, 345 overall in Europe, and a presence in 34 countries. ESN held its National Platform Meeting October 29 to 31 at İstanbul Kültür University. There were 18 sections present in the platform, and elections were held for the ESN Turkey Board. In the meeting, Tahsin Can Nergiz, ESN Bilkent's president and a political science student, was elected as vice president for the ESN Turkey Board. Last year another Bilkent student, now a graduate, Kadir Okan Cerrah, was elected as web projects assistant.
