I Know Where You've Been This Week

Hello everyone! It's good to be back after a snow holiday. I hope most of you know by now how the challenge works, but I want to repeat anyway. You see here a picture from our very own campus, but taken from an unexpected angle, an unusual place or a detail of an object. Did you know that the very well known actors/actresses Fadik Sevin Atasoy, Tamer Karadağlı, Şahan Gökbakar, Binnur Kaya, Başak Köklükaya, Zeynep Tokuş, Murathan, Yasemin Öztürk and the well known singers Cem Adrian, Bedük, Kaan Tangöze and many more graduated from Bilkent University? These valuable artists all have a part in the memories of Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (FMPA), which is important to us for the challenge because last puzzle's picture was from MSSF, from the concert hall in particular.
We are adapted to light coming from above because this is usually the case in our daily lives. Consider the sun shining above, your table lamps, or any other artificial light source. So we basically make the light-from-above assumption and analyze a perceived scene accordingly. This usually helps us to recognize objects and scenes so much better, especially when compared to computer guided robots. The picture from the concert hall was a picture of the corner between the wall and ceiling, and the light was not coming from above but from left. So if you tilt your head to right and take a look at that picture for a second time you will be surprised, because the misleading light-from-above picture looks more meaningful.
There is one more thing I would like to add. I believe this corner is pretty enjoyable adding a little color and interactive competition to Bilkent News. However, graduation is in two months.
