Bilkent is a Brand for Leadership
The Brand Club organized its second leadership forum on April 22 to 24. The forum was held in the Rixos Grand Ankara. Ninety students from different Turkish universities attended the event and heard speeches from 12 officials from the government and different sectors of the business life. Rector Prof. Abdullah Atalar opened the forum with a speech praising leadership. According to Rector Atalar, "Leadership is the most important thing in the modern world. In addition to that, branding is significant for developing new ideas. Therefore, I celebrate the organizers of this forum because they saw how important branding and leadership are to generating new ideas." After Prof. Atalar, Turkish Minister of Economics Ali Babacan shared his opinions about leadership. The other CEOs talked about their own leadership's secrets.
The forum was held in an interactive atmosphere and welcomed the questions from participants. Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız replied questions about the dangers of planned Turkish nuclear reactor. He said, "If all developed countries have this, Turkey can not stay behind them. Nuclear energy will make Turkey economically competitive with its neighbors in Europe."
