İhsan Doğramacı Remembered at I.C.H.E.
The International Conference on Higher Education, created in 1981 by Bilkent's founder İhsan Doğramacı, held its 21st Conference in Trier, Germany, from August 26 to 28, 2010, on the topic of “University Values - University Integrity.” Keynote speakers from China, Germany, Israel, Russia, and Turkey examined various aspects of integrity in universities.
I.C.H.E. President Ignaz Bender, host of the Conference, paid tribute to Doğramacı during the opening of the meeting of the Steering Committee, and during the opening ceremony of the Conference he cited many of the accomplishments of the honorary president of I.C.H.E. Vice President of Bilkent University and Secretary General of I.C.H.E. Phyllis Erdoğan, shared with the participants memories of her forty-year association with Professor Doğramacı.
